Despite the drippy/rainy weather, yesterday was a great day in Houston. . Airport Shuttles and taxis arrived at local hotels by the dozens bringing quilters from all over the world to the George Brown Convention Center ( photo from 19th floor of the adjacent Hilton Hotel) for Wed nights preview to todays opening.

An early afternoon peak through the Exhibit Hall portholes revealed a lot of set up was in progress for the preview opening later last evening.

Class bulletins identifying still available classes were scoured over by those arriving

Of great importance was the entry dedication of this years Festival to the recently passed founder and editor of Quilters Newsletter.. Bonnie Leman
