Into The Grass

Now that the 'highway is paved with silver/black twist, it's time to landscape the side of the road with grass. I get to use one of those beautiful subtle Blendables by Sulky.

I used sort of an interlocking candle-flame look to resemble grass. I think this works okay.

Finally, I can start to work on the outer border... First a securing stitch on the outer 'postcard edge' then a simple micro stipple to knock down the dark shadows on the postcard edge.

Now I can start the fun stuff.. a wacky scrolled square,triangle,rectangle fill pattern. It works well for this kind of filler.
